The Challenge
ShopVault's monolithic platform was buckling under growth. Page load times exceeded 4 seconds during peak traffic. Adding new payment methods or shipping providers required months of development. International expansion was blocked by single-currency limitations.
Our Solution
We decomposed the monolith into event-driven microservices with a GraphQL API gateway. Elasticsearch powers sub-100ms product search across millions of SKUs. A plugin architecture allows new payment and shipping integrations in days, not months. Multi-currency pricing with real-time exchange rates enables global commerce.
The Outcome
Page load times dropped to under 800ms. Conversion rates increased by 23%. The platform scaled to handle 1,200+ storefronts across 40 countries. Revenue grew 180% year-over-year following the replatforming.
